What happens to the details you give us when you ask for a quote or get in touch. Short version: we use them to quote and make your work, we share them only with the people who need them to do that, and we do not sell them to anyone.

Who we are

Timberoc ("we", "us") trades as Timberoc. We supply made-to-measure oak and hardwood products to customers in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

Contact: sales@yourdomain.co.uk, +44 7481 454999, Your UK address, Blackburn BB1 0AA, United Kingdom.

What we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, company name if you give one, and any cutting lists, drawings, photos or files you attach. We also record the date and time of your enquiry.

If you go on to place an order, we collect the delivery address, invoicing details and correspondence needed to make and deliver the work.

We do not collect payment card details through this website.

Why we use it

To prepare and send you a quote, answer your questions, and if you order, to produce, deliver and invoice the work. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract.

To keep records of quotes and orders for accounting, warranty and product-traceability purposes. This is our legitimate interest and, for accounting records, a legal obligation.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to keep in touch, and you can withdraw that at any time by emailing us.

Who sees it

Enquiries are delivered to us by an email service provider acting on our instructions. Cutting lists, drawings and specifications are shared with the production partners that make your work, under contract and only as far as needed to make it. Delivery details are shared with the haulier who delivers it.

Some of our production partners are based outside the United Kingdom, in countries whose data protection law the UK government has recognised as adequate, so no further safeguards are required for that transfer.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted after 12 months.

Order records, including cutting lists and drawings, are kept for 7 years after the order, which is the period required for accounting records.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses only the technical storage needed to make the pages work.

If we add analytics or advertising measurement in future, this notice will be updated and you will be asked for consent first.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, and object to our use of it. To do any of these, email us at the address above. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
